Cara McCleer holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Before coming to River Mist, she was a nanny for various families in the Durango area. She has chosen to work with children because “I admire their honesty, creativity, humor, energy, and flexibility. No day is ever the same. It’s rewarding to witness the progress they make and to help support that progression.” When Cara isn’t at River Mist, she enjoys outdoor sports such as hiking, biking, camping, and snowboarding. She also enjoys reading, gardening, and cooking. Her favorite thing about working at River Mist is the location. She loves the garden, river, and outdoor play areas at the school. She says, “There is always lots of wildlife to observe and beautiful nature all around.” Cara aspires to complete Early Childhood Education classes to further her own education in the field while helping her students achieve their full potential.
